The Ergotech 7 Flex HD - Monitor Mounting Solution even for large displays | Tek Syndicate

				</p>

So, this is a monitor mounting solution that is compatible with the Microboard 40" 4k monitor we love so much.

This is a nice arm that provides up to 16" of vertical travel (8"-10" above the plane of the desk") and is a built around by a pneumatic gas piston (not a metal spring as found in some economical solutions). It is sturdy, well built and effective.

75x75mm and 100x100mm VESA

I got a couple sets of an older version of this arm a while back when we got new Anthro desks for our office. I've used Ergotron in the past, but needed something beefier to hold a 27" iMac and a Cinema display, the Ergotechs worked great. Definitely beefy arms. We still have them but they now hold 34" ultrawides which are way under it's weight capacity. The only thing that sucks is having to crank that spring tension down (or up), it takes quite a few rotations to dial it in. I wish they went more vertical, they stop at about 60 degrees or so, but I'm very pleased with them.

The video is missing a good 5-10 minutes more of technotalk

I'm using a PUREMOUNTS PM-Office-DM-23d for 2 Monitors (ROG Swift and a 23" one). Very happy with the quality you're getting at that price (97€ for me, incl. VAT).

Damn not available in the UK with a quick search.

As it is my wall mount Ergotron LX can't handle the 10kg of the A399U with the extension on it. I may be able to bodge a desk mount conversion bracket and remove the extension but that arm just looks more sturdy.

bimbleuk have you looked at the Ergotron LX HD, its really good, a lot beefier then the MAX 9KG counterparts, i believe you get what you pay for in this case.

A pic of my Temporary setup.

Its around 220GBP though

On the video, the mount looks like it is a bit crooked and flexing under the weight of the monitor. Is this just the table top flexing or the arm itself?

Oh, just noticed they don't ship outside US... Any alternatives that would be more easily available in Europe?

That's a hell of a setup you have there.

The obvious one would be the Ergotron LX HD that Thomas9151 mentions in the previous post.

That's starting to get out of my comfort zone for cost as I was lucky with my normal LX as it was ~£60 unused new off Ebay.

That's an option... But a really expensive option. 280EUR or 307USD is a bit much, when all I really need is vertical adjustment and to free up the space underneath the monitor.

I haven't quite found this out yet, do ergotech ship to the EU? I haven't found any local vendors.

The for the video BTW great stuff :)

After the last monitor video I was hoping for another one on monitor arms. :)

Something like the Ergotech "Freedom Arm" but with a taller "pole" would be a nice new product for them to come out with I think. Consumer monitors have gotten so much larger that most existing designs begin to feel a bit limited.

This arm is on Massdrop until 17 november 2015.
