Thank you Tek Syndicate!

Just finished my first PC build ever!  Went for a mid-grade"ish" system and ended up with:

AMD FX-4100 (OC'd to 4.8ghz)

Gigabyte 990fxa-ud5

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600

ASUS GTX 550ti DCU

60GB Corsair Force GT (OS)

WD Caviar Blue 320GB HDD x2 (Storage)

Corsair Builder Series CX600

NZXT Gamma Series Mid-Tower (Added some Blue LED Case Fans)

Logitech WAVE Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Combo

HP w2207h 1920x1080 Monitor

Logitech Z4 2.1 Speakers

(Swiped an optical drive from an old system)

This site, which I discovered a few weeks ago was a HUGE help!!

How did I do for a noob?  Would like to look at some upgrades over the next few months and I was wondering where a good place to start might be?

Thanks Again

VL

Could of steped up on the cpu and gpu, but otherwise. Good build and nice OC

You're right on that score.  I think a combination of being a newbie ('cough, cough' mostly console in the past)and sticking to a budget brought me to those choices.  In staying with AMD, where should I go with the CPU...strictly gaming?  Also, I'd like a suggestion on a solid price/performance GPU - there are so damn many out there!

Congrats. New PC builder myself. Bet you had fun like I did. Yes this site was alot of help.

Yeah, it was a blast turbo.  What did you put together?  Would still take some advice on future CPU and GPU upgrade.

Thanks!
