Hello, thank you for reading my first post on this community. I hope I’ll not violate forum rules.
I landed in this website after searching solution for an issue I have with virtual machines and Teradici Client for Windows.
Issue: When using Teradici to connect remote to a windows workstation or windows virtual machine, I can’t successfully connect any peripherals. I can see the list of devices, like Wacom tablet, but if I click connect never goes throw.
Important:
The issue is not happening with pre build Alienware PC and Mac OS Devices.
In my custom assembled workstation, I have Asus X670E-E motherboard, Ryzen 7900X CPU, 3090Ti as graphic card. The system works fine, I don’t have any issues except I can’t seem to successfully connect the Wacom tablet to the remote machine. I can’t connect any peripheral.
Using my old Alienware works and I am not sure why is not working with my current machine. The issue, seems to be affecting only me.
In the last two years, I was never been able to connect my Wacom tablet.
Last week, I decided to do some test.
In the windows device manager, I disabled one of the two Generic Super Speed HUB and one AMD Extensible Host Controller 3.2 (the bottom raw of usb port of my motherboard).
After doing this, my Wacom tablet connect well with Teradici. Every other device, including Hard Drives, Webcam and more seems to work fine.
When I Boot the PC, I see that I have 2USB Hub in the motherboard, I guess is how Asus made the board.
The funny thing is that if I disable the top raw of port (the first USB controller) and connect the tablet on the bottom raw of usb port, forwarding the Wacom tablet doesn’t work anymore.
What can be the issue of my current system? Is it the motherboard wired in a way that doesn’t allow usb port forwarding?
What should I do to fix the issue? Just build an entire system from scratch (can’t do this at the moment, it will be too expensive).
I am thinking of buying another motherboard but this time to go with the new X870E Pro Art.
Thank you in advance.
