System76 Launch Keyboard L1T KVM Support

Hey Guys,

I’ve eyeing the System76 Launch or Launch Heavy keyboard and before I drop some $$$ on it, I just want to check compatibility with the Level1Techs KVM. I tried searching around, I even watched the videos on the keyboards, but couldn’t get solid answers.

My main questions are all related to when the keyboard is plugged into the HID port on the KVM. I know I have the fallback of just plugging it into the USB 3 port, but I have future machinations for my desk setup where I need the CTRL+[1-4] hotkey to work.

So, while plugged into the HID port…

  1. Does it support properly the CTRL+[1-4] hotkeys?
  2. Does the System76 keyboard configuration software work?
    a. Can you update the firmware as well?
  3. Does the hub on the keyboard work? (Not required, just curious)
  4. Can OpenRGB see the keyboard (I actually don’t even know if OpenRGB is supported normally, I assume it is)

Its got a built in 10g hub so no, no hid. You can use a macroboard remote switch to remotely switch inputs. Evereytjing but hotkeys works via usb3.
