Overclockable quad core AMD processor if you decide to add an aftermarket cooler later on

AMD 7850 video card, which should handle most games on medium to high settings at 1080p

8GB of RAM

1TB HDD

Modular 80 plus bronze certified power supply

Well reviewed Asus motherboard with good upgradeability

NZXT case with good airflow, cable management, and plenty of room for expansion

APU Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2RogB

Dedicated GPU build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2RosT

As for peripherals, LG/Asus/BenQ make good monitors, Logitech makes good keyboards mice, and every other peripheral you could want.

Sweet thanks

For taking the time and answering my post

APU Build.  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2RwFH   Will suit your needs fine and if will handle most AAA titles at medium, Just pop in good GPU and you'll be running AAA titles at High settings.

GPU build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Rxiv  Just a bit over budget but with MIR comes in under. Will handle your games and most AAA at medium settings.

First off... if you're going for upgradability... you want a CPU/GPU combo... not an APU...

For peripherals... I think Mionix and Razr make my fav mouses... I currently use the Mionix NAOS and used to use the Razr Deathadder, both are very programmable for WOW functions and perform admirably... I like the NAOS but actually prefer the Deathadder (which I use at work) and it's cheaper... (for form factor more than function purposes). I could highly recommend the Maxx Nighthawk keyboard, but I doubt you want to add $150 to the build on a keyboard... but I hear good things about the CM Storm mechanical Cherry Red...

This is $18 over budget... do note if you can splurge another $50 or so you could get a R9 270 or 7870 GHz Edition (which are equivalent) and not have to buy a GPU for a while...  I'd also recommend upgrading the RAM to 8 GB in the near future... but this will get get you by, is very upgradable, and has a nice case that isn't 100% plastic that will last a while

Gonna have to give a +1 to this one, as of the time of this writing.
