Swingable Monitor arms

Hi folks,

I am looking for a new monitor arms as the one I currently own isn’t holding to it’s alleged specs. What I need is something of an edge use case that I suspect most people will never need but I haven’t in my browsing so far found a rig that seems to do what I want to do.

In my current office set up I use a recliner as my main office chair perpendicular to my desk with a small side table that is the height of the arm rest on the right side to hold my mouse and fits entirely under the main desk. I keep my full size keyboard in my lap and I want my main monitor to swing out over my lap essentially. I am using an AOC CU34G2X 34" widescreen.

I want to find an arm that will support me swinging this screen and them be pushed out of the way. I bought one on amazon that should have supported the weight of this thing and it mostly does but it tends to wobble and drift at times unless I wedge it partially on my desk. That works but it still sometimes moves a bit and is rather fiddly.

Is there a better solution here?

I essentially just need a 100mm Vesa mount for it so any help as to a setup that will work better will help.

I don’t have any particular product recommendation, but if your monitor drifts in certain positions then your desk might not be level.

EDIT: I should clarify that I meant to say that the only way to prevent this from happening with any arm is to either have a completely level desk or increase the resistance at the joint that is drifting.
