Hi. After much searching I finally found a CB3 to complete my ideal JBOD build. After reading the minimal documentation online about this, and countless forum posts I thought that it would be great to tame the fans in my CSE-847 with SAS3 backplanes.
I have successfully wired the front backplanes I2C cable to the CB3 and I can get readout from it in the IPMI, but the only fan control I have is “Standard” and “Full.” From what I have seen there should be an “Optimal”?
I have the stock fans so even standard is a little less than ideal for being in my home office.
Does anyone have any insight into this? I am on FW 1.33
