“Better” depends on a lot of factors, especially budget & what you currently have. I personally would absolutely not consider an 8GB VRAM card for general intensive use or gaming in 2025, lots of games benefit from more vram. Local AI is also generally better on NVIDIA GPUs, or GPUs with 12-16GB+ of VRAM, its free to play around with.

The 3060 is clearly the all around better option here, no? It’s a full generation ahead of the 5700 (rx 6xxx = rtx 3xxx I thought)…
Agree with agent9, unless you are fine with upgrading later 8gb cuts it awfully close… I was unable to run jedi survivor on an rx580 with anything but potato graphics until some kind soul on reddit shared an unofficial patch.
