Stuck building my PC (Vid included)

What now?

I have no OS on it but I wanna make sure it all works before putting it in my case etc. I don't know what to do to make the fans spin nd everything.

On your board, usually on the bottom, are the pins you plug your case's power and reset buttons into. Read  under those pins to find the power (pwr) pins. Bridge those two with a paperclip or something similar

That's all that's up? Wow thanks lol. Did know if I needed to to start.

Okay wait can you further explain I hooked my case up to it and pressed the power button but no luck

Ok so when you took off the side of your case there should have been a bunch of cables all bundled up. They were the connectors for all the stuff on the front of your case. Therefore nothing on the front of your case will do anything if these are not plugged in.

Have a look in your motherboard manual in the connectors section. The thing you want to look for is "front headers" or "front connectors", and it should have a diagram that looks a like this (http://www.pcityourself.com/images/content/building/frontPanelDiagram.gif) but the labels might be different. If you look for the connectors on your motherboard then you can orient yourself to fit the diagram and plug the wires from the case in.

Most of the connectors are pretty fucking annoying and fiddly so you need to make certain the right ones are plugged to their correct connections, and you need to make sure they're pushed firmly all the way down. Trust me I made this same mistake and I'm sure most other first-time builders did. If your computer won't turn on after you've modified it or just built it, a lot of the time it's the damn headers.

Consult the manual on both the case and motherboard to make sure theyt are hooked correctly. its easy to switch the power and reset switches around. To make sure that it can turn on incase the ase switch is defective is to take something metal, like a car key, to connect the two power pins for power on and use the key as a jumper.

Hey guys, figured it out. Now I'm at my last stop getting my OS on.. is a pain.
