Struggling to find a solution to use my work laptop with my own rigs peripherals when at home

KVM Model:

Trying to work this part out

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

type here

Problem:

I have 3 1440p monitors (LG 32GP850B) currently using DP from my 3090ti. This is my personal rig. I also have a work laptop (HP Elitebook 850 G8).

I use a corsair scimitar elite corded mouse, corsair K95 Platinum keyboard which uses to USB ports due to the usb port on the keyboard it self.

Has anyone got a solution for being able to use my work laptop but with all my Peripherals with out lots of messing with cables?

hope that makes enough sense

Other Notes:

I also have a webcam and Steel series actis nova Pro headset which could live without but even better if can include.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have a docking station for the laptop? You’ll need 3x video cables coming from it.

Another thing to consider: how many external monitors can you have? Do you plan on using the laptop open or clamshell?

Does your desktop’s motherboard have a USBC thunderbolt/DP-Alt connection?

What are your monitor(s) resolution and refresh rate?

I ended up using the display to switch video and sticking all the USB stuff on a cheap amazon usb switch. Mostly because I wasn’t confident I could get high refresh rate gsync to flow through a kvm cleanly. Would love a cleaner solution though

Easy. USB switcher with mouse, keyboard, webcam and whatever else you want to use on both of them. Use input switching on the display. Just plug the laptop into the display and switcher. I have this exact setup.
