I have been searching the other articles. Found no mention of the H710 and the B560 chip. Almost all of the articles are about the card are either the card in in a server, or it was flashed into IT mode with no Raid. Also, most articles deal in a Linux environment (not what I am after).
I would like to try the Megaraid software, but I guess I am inept as I have found apparently a number of “cross over” LSI model numbers to the H710P. I found a software version in the 'range" of what the card could be and gave it a shot. MegaRAID Storage Manager 17.05.06.00
Downloaded it. Unzipped, read the txt file about how to get Java installed for this. Played with installing Java, playing with environmental paths, installing the software, uninstalling the software, reinstalling the software… nope.
Upon installing the MegaRAID software, I get two “CreateProcess failed.” errors. Followed by an InstallSheild Wizard note that says is installed successfully. After hitting finish, I open the MegaRaid Storage Manager and…
Windows cannot find ‘-DVENUS=true’ or some other path error. Upon restart I get another CreateProcess failed error. And a CMD popup that shows
