Steam got hacked, stole all my games!

HELP!

So I went to look at my Steam inventory tonight, and noticed that about 6 games I had in my inventory (to give to friends or add to my own account) were all gone!

I'm really upset by this, nothing like this has ever happened to me. I'm really careful about my passwords (capitals, numerical, nonsense words), haven't had any viruses.

I've opened a ticket with Steam to try and get some help. I've tried to look in my account to see if there is a history of things that have gone in or out of my inventory, but no such luck at this point.

Any help figuring this out and/or catching the fucker(s) would be much appreciated.

In the store you can see what you have purchased and I think you can see what you have gifted as well, and change your password that should help, I know it's obvious but do it. I have experienced someone trying to hack me before by offering me free games if i give a site my username email and password. you have probably been unlucky though.

*EDIT: Go into setting and view account history, there you can view your Store transactions, market transactions and Game transactions. hope this helps

Not particularly fair, after you've been a generous guy.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've looked in my account history but there is nothing. I'm thinking what they did is break in, saw all the giftable games, gifted them to their 'own' account, and went trololo home... :(

I don't think there is a way to view WHO you have send gifted games to... I am still waiting for a response from Steam, so we'll see what they know...

Go to your Steam Item Inventory.  Near the top right is a dropdown titled More.  Click on this and you can view your gift history as well as your inventory history.  If someone got control of your account and traded or gifted stuff, there should be a history of it on one of those two histories.

Also, Steam Guard should do a good job of protecting you from something like this happening again.  I've had it enabled since they implemented it so I have no idea if it's even optional anymore.

+1 for this.

It should show the person it was gifted to.

Any Update?
