Theres a lot of people out there who don’t think Ubuntu or Gentoo are linux, and will fight tooth and nail until you rub it in their face.
Linux is a lot bigger than that on the desktop. Whatever their survey is based on only shows a small window, same with steam. According to census at developers conferences, hardware sales, and numbers via voluntary poll, linux has grown immensely the last few years. Developer wise it could have easily taken OSX in numbers by now. The only thing we need is for dell to stop being a bunch of whiny fucks and actually put Sputnik laptops in stores.
