Anyone got it preloaded in origin?
looking forward to playing?
Is it free?
if so i might try it
Yeah free beta test, you can preload it before it comes out in about 15 mins ;)
I wonder how long it will take for the servers to shit themselves
Shit its not available until 9 am for me. West Coast.
Just had a go... its bad... lol its just COD
ive played it its pretty fun but i cant seem to join any server anymore :(
I've got it preloaded; going to be playing it a lot this weekend to see if I like it enough to buy the game. I'll probably play it when I go home for lunch at noon as that's when it drop in my time zone.
Well I guess I heard it here first.
Im currently downloading it on my ps4 because im not letting origin get anywhere close to my pc. I have the lowest expectations for this reboot, hope im wrong most likely not.
Just started preloading it. Will report back with my thoughts(not that anyone cares)
Same here. Will check it out once it downloads. Expectations are... not great. Hopefully fun, however different it may be from the classic Battlefront.
I have it pre-loaded, but I'll only be playing the single-player mode, only because my internet connection is god-awful.
Game is good. Plays like battlefield and looks amazing. Environments are insanely detailed and complex. Air combat is Meh. Does not play remotely like cod
Don't suppose there'll be a VU mod for Battlefront 2 with all these lukewarm reactions?
I played a couple of rounds during lunch. Plays really well; doesn't feel like COD. Haven't played any of the newer Battlefield games so I can't compare to that. It runs very well on my system; 80+ FPS at 1080p with all settings on their highest setting. System is a [email protected], 16gb RAM, GTX 980, and Windows 10. It seems fairly CPU intensive; I was averaging between 50 and 70% during game play with GPU utilization at 100%. Interestingly I didn't notice any tearing with V-Sync off despite staying above 70fps the whole time on my 60hz monitor.
Overall it feels great and the gun play seems very Star Wars; all of the guns I used would overheat with sustained fire but never needed reloading. Also the mouse felt perfect; no weirdness going on that I could detect (I'm using a Mionix Naos 7000).
Good impressions, so far, though it's not a game I feel compelled to keep playing. I would liken it to Titanfall, though it takes several rounds to rank up enough to do anything useful. I don't know that I'd pay full price for it; we'll see what everyone thinks of its value once all the modules are open. Overall, though, despite the fact that I suck horribly, I like it.
Those graphics, though... o.O. Ultra, 2160p @ 45fps w/ g-sync on. plays like a dream and the twinkle on the snow + snowy footprints... almost couldn't look better.
Preloaded and playing as soon as I get off of work.
Ooh, didn't know the beta would start today! Thanks for reminding me.
Downloading it right now.
I am excited!
Tried it, it's basically the same as the alpha.
No controls for mouse acceleration as far as I can tell, I'm not sure if it's on I'd have to check it properly, the fact that this is missing is pretty damn annoying. edit: no mouse acceleration, which is good.
Flying is just as bad as it was.
Crossfire works with the BF4 profile, it makes the game slightly crashy in the menus but it scales very well and doesn't produce any visual artifacts.
The game runs pretty well in general.
Gunplay is very weak IMO, vehicles are poor as well, you are limited to small maps and small player counts.
Sound design is great.
So basically exactly as I predicted it to be. For the people wondering about the system memory usage, it didn't go above 4GB in my case, not even close to 8GB or more.
I think it's really fun. Runs well on medium with post processing stuff off. Looks really good graphically
