SSD Caching with AMD

So I just bought two Kingston Hyper X 3K's (one for my laptop, the other for my desktop) and I was wondering about options for caching. Whenever I search for caching methods all that comes up is Intel smart whatever and since I'm running a FX-6300 on my desktop that's not an option. I already have a 1TB data drive so I'd like to just have my OS and the cache on the SSD.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated because I'm tired of not finding anything with Google.

With a os boot ssd really dont need to worry about caching . What little i understand is that a ssd caching drive just caches most frequently accessed data for faster access . Still relies on the hdd disk that os is installed upon . Really its not something to even worry about . Os Boot is the way to go since in a sense all your doing is caching with your os boot ssd drive anyway . Confusing isnt it . I am sure someone else could explain it better . Really just forget about the caching concept . and focus on Os boot . Use this guide . http://www.thessdreview.com/ssd-guides/optimization-guides/the-ssd-optimization-guide-ultimate-windows-8-edition/         Also Make sure to check and see if you have the latest firmware for your drive . In Bios make sure to set your sata drives to ahci  and that the drivers are also updated for achi , sata .  I know it didnt really answer your question about caching .

SSD caching is an intel only future, i guess you have your ansewr now ☺

grtz Angel :D

Thanks for the suggestions and help.

Guess I'll just look in to splitting my steam library between the SSD and my HDD, put the games I use most on the SSD. Also put the OS on the SSD.

Incorrect. SSD caching is a software application which Intel have adopted to their chipsets.

OP, all you need to do is connecting your SSD to the motherboard and run a 3rd. party caching software that is compatible with your SSD.

But tbh, SSD data caching is rather useless now since most people just go out and buy a 120-240GB SSD to store their favorite games on.
