The Project: Make a modern or semi modern PC case have a retro feel/look of a Sun E450 or SGI Onyx.
Requirements: It should have the basic shape, but not be as big. (These machines are massive.) I’d prefer it fitting up to an e-atx case and have 2 (3 is better) external 5.25 inch drive bays (for various icy dock things.)

Finding a wide case with 5.25 inch drive bays has been challenging. The closest I’ve found has been a Thermaltake Core X9 but I can’t find one to buy (even on ebay.) This is what the Core X9 looks like:
The idea is to take a case like the one above and hand it off to someone that will do a modern interpretation paint and badging treatment.
Does anyone have any suggestions on cases that could fit this project? I don’t mind buying used if that’s the only option.
