just a thought that passed my mind with games like Counter strike TF2 and that being all mostly online and your meeting new people everyday. would that in turn almost make them slightly like an MMO - FPS?

I've always considered Counter Strike an MMOFPS. Only Online Play + First Person Shooter = MMOFPS
Its not massive as in many hundreds or tousands in one place.

see thats kinda where i was getting at when i was thinking about it but... i play with atleast 100+++ players from all around europe everyday.. isnt that what an mmo is?
It's not massive, because you dont play with all of them in the same "server", you change between matches.
But yes, the whole servercluster is "mmo" imo
some games have tried it... most have failed due to the drop off in player base. WoW takes up to much of the market atm, so no mmo's are becoming big hits..... when the market starts opening up, im sure we will start to see more large scale fps games (128 / 256 slot servers) and mmofps's (like WoW with guns)
