Some news sources on Sciene and Futurism

I don't know all the things that L1T uses for news sources, but I for one am a big fan of news on breakthroughs in science, tech and society, and futurism. Here's a twitter list of what I think are really good sources with very interesting info: https://twitter.com/CarnegieLemon/lists/science-and-futurism/members

If L1T or anyone else ever feels like there's a slow news week, you should check those sources out.

Cheers!

I don't think there will be a slow news week over the next 4 years but this could be interesting nonetheless.

I'd say the best source would be having JSTOR access, but that'd just be pedantic. The problem with the internet blogosphere and MSM is that they rarely have any understanding of the science stories they break, or make conclusions from studies that either don't have the necessary scope, or conclude the opposite in some cases.

Yes. I agree. And Futurism.com does that with half its content, stretching the truth and being overly eager. But most guys I listed in that twitter group, they are The actual scientists, not the blogosphere.

i like going to phys.org pretty much a science news aggerate.

Check futuretimeline.com and nextbigfuture.com

They're not reputable by any means (as far as I'm aware) but they're cool. If cool is what you're looking for. To me, futuretimeline is impressive for the style and the way it presents its history archive.

https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/ -now THIS is podracing! much better than the clickbait future-hype sites...
