[SOLVED]Windows 7 Virtualapp/didlogical credential?

I found something realy interesting on my OS.
Since i had problems with my internet speed since Thursday, which is now solved, i just discovered that since Thursday a credential called Virtualapp/didlogical credential was added to the windows credential manager.
Its linked to a user name and password that are unkown to me.

I have deleted it, but it came back after reboot.
On my laptop this credential was added today.

Looking at google, i found diffrent answers to what this might be.
But i think this might be some sort of keylogger from Microsoft injected into my OSses.

Are there more Windows 7 users who have this same entry in their credential manager?
And does anyone knows what its exaly doing?

LOL its a windows live thing.. Its not a keylogger. It is also used for virtualized services and windows XP mode. also In general it is safe to delete it however, it’s pretty useless to remove it IF you are using Windows Live (which know you .. you are) or any other Microsoft services on a regular basis. I would therefore not recommend to delete it.

Silly @MisteryAngel :P

Yeah i found that aswell, but why is it linked to a username and pass that i dont know?

I indeed found a MS support thread, that states that its used for windows live services.
I booted it out of the credentials, and it stayed out, untill i opened Windows live mail.
So i suppose you are right.
Its just that i have never noticed it before lol.

Its possible its a system account of some kind. Randomized with a number. MS does that for security sometimes

@MisteryAngel you should delete global.dll next :P

You were probably right.
its linked to Microsofts live services like messenger and mail.
It makes this credential if you have stored a microsoft account eg, live, msn, outlook etc in one of the live services apps, like Live mail or Messenger.

Yup exactly.. lol im just teasing you because you deleted it :P

which is amusing since you insist on using WLM.. I swear that was an MS as terminator meme that said DONT DO THAT (arnold schwarzenegger style lol)

Yeah i dont trust those stinky bastards lol.
Anyway yeah i found out, wenn i deleted it, it also deleted my stored account in the live messenger app.
So yep its something according to that, and probably harmless.

LOL

I honestly stopped caring too much about it. Im pretty content with windows 10

also i figure the only reason they really want the data is for product improvement. I dont see what benefit they would have to seeing other things like pirated software and porn collections you know?

Well yeah if tools like Beacon realy turn out to do a decent job.
Then i might upgrade aswell someday.
I still have a Fresh copy of Windows10 Enterprise laying arround, which seems to have some better control about updating etc.

sssshhh youll attract the vagabond lol and his great/shiny tin foil hat

also ehh i have a few things opted in that im comfortable sharing at the current moment

Well they could sell that information to company's, so those company´s can offer you advertisements.
If you think about it, MS detects a pirated game, they sell that data to company´s, who might sending advertisements to you,
so you might buy the game idk lol.
it could be an brilliant idea from a MS perspective.

Not if they want to retain confidence in the office environment or amongst the desktop community which they need to hold well. I think MS might be a tad more responsible than google or amazon with the data you know

Yeah i´m pretty sure they are.
Not all the data collection they do is basicly bad.
It highly depends on what its used for, diagnostic information about apps crashing etc is not a bad thing.

Maybe we should make a Wiki someday about Windows10 privacy and how to lock it down.
With some good guides, and some additional video´s according to it, like the one Logan made.
And keep the thread going.
