[Solved] Tyan S8030 Firmware Update issues

Hi

I can’t get the Tyan S8030 IPMI to update the firmware version to the ones found here.

I used the IPMI firmware update for BMC and BIOS yet I still get version 1.00 for both.

Bonus question:
What’s the default password for the bios accessible from the IPMI Web interface?

  1. Download the BMC Firmware in order V2 then V3
  2. For each of the archives:
    2.1 unzip
    2.2 dos2unix the Updat_BMC_OOB.sh script (for bonus points it has different names in each of the archives)
    2.3 make the Yafuflash binary executable
    2.4 make the script executable
    2.5 possibly run them with bash instead of the /bin/sh at the top
    2.6 run the Updat_BMC_OOB.sh script fill in the IP user password

You need to update them in order V2 then V3
After this update you can upgrade the BIOS from the WEB UI
