Setting up a Super Micro H12SSL-NT-O board - need to flash the BIOS to 2.0+ to support Milan. However, I can’t seem to get the IPMI firmware update process to move the uploaded and flashed BIOS from Staging to the current BIOS. See screenshot… advice?
Nothing on the MOBO atm - just plain board with power for BMC heartbeat and NIC connected for remove management.
Total flyer - you shouldn’t need a license key to update the board?
For closure in case anybody else runs up against this - just boot with the CPU and it’ll complete the BIOS update. DOH! Thank you Supermicro for the help.
Now if only there were a Milan CPU in stock somewhere… LOL!
