[Solved] Phanteks P500A Case, Fan Headers not RGB Header, front Fans not spinning

Argh! Ok, Goosfbrah . . . .

I have a Phanteks P500A RGB Case with a Taichi x570.

I’ve put all the guts in and it all works. But the three front fans are as active as a logranthan swoot (not spinning).

All the RBG works and is controllable.

So I think this is the issue. I only plugged in the rgb-header. I could not identify the fan header cables from the front fan cables. I could only find 3 pin cables which all seem to connect to the RGB header.

My Motherboard has 4 pin fan headers. Where is this mystical cable I need to plug in? Do I need to go to the FAN Hub for the case and re-plug the fan cables into the Motherboard? Shouldn’t they be spinning just from being attached to the FAN Hub? The Fatherboard is getting kind of grumpy!

Thanks!

If the fans are connected to a fan hub there should be one cable with this termination:

This cable connects to this motherboard header:

(on your motherboard it’s going to be black most likely).

If you don’t want the fans to have matching speed you can connect them individually to the motherboard to three different headers.

I’ve been so detailed just to avoid confusion and maybe letting you think that I was referring to other connectors and maybe blow something up.

Thanks for the reply! It’s very detailed.

I don’t recall seeing that cable. I might have to start taking the case apart. That cable might be tucked away in some crevice.

I’ll update this thread with my search results.

Ok. I found three 3 pin fan headers and plugged them in. Everything is spinning now. Seems like a quick update to the cases install sheet would make things less confusing. The three headers were never mentioned.

Nice, glad I could help! Have fun with your build
