[SOLVED] 8 pin connector, what cable do you connect it with?

Hello. As the title states. I’m looking at motherboard to get and it has 8 pin connector on it and I’m not sure what cable do you connect it with. My current mobo has 4 pin one and the psu has 2 of those. Do you just combine them together for the 8 pin slot?

cpu only uses 1x of the 4 pins

should state on the cable cpu for modern psu’s. also the gpu cable is similar

If before you used just one of those 4 pins then on the new motherboard you combine them both to get the 8pin plug.
If its incorrect it will not fit, so do not force it.

motherboard has always been > if the cable doesnt fit, it doesn’t go there… and read the manual
