Solus and the USB that couldn't write

Hello,

New to the forum and “recent” to linux and very much recent to solus.
Having an issue on creating an USB boot drive to install arch on a Cherrytrail Computer (it seams the only one that can be made to work almost 100%).
After creating the usb with Etcher (or Disks, for that matter) i can’t add or remove any files from the USB. It gets read only.
Anyone can point me in the direction of solving this?
Thank you in advance

That’s because of the design of hybrid USB/DVD live images. It must be a read only filesystem.

Thank you for making it clear.
I wasn’t thinking it thru.
I can always add the file thru archive manager.
Thank you once more.

After more digging it seams that budgie mounts all disks with an non “linux” partition on read only mode.
Anyone know how to work arround this?
I’m loking Solus alot but can’t use my backup disks.
Another thing is that the disks aren’t mounted on login even if you set it in the mount options.

Thanks

What kind of partition is it?

Can you post some screenshots? I haven’t had this problem in Solus before. It should auto mount any USB thumb drives without you having to do anything.
