Software after fresh install

Ok so i decided to reinstall my OS (Win 8.0) after trying out Win 8.1 - and now I am deciding what software to install with it.  i will list what I had prreviously and see what suggestions you all can come up with - and why.

Office - Libre Office

Audio - Musicbee

Video - VLC x64

Compression - 7zip x64

Anti Virus - Avast free + Malwarebytes Anti Malware free + Glary Pro

Email - Thunderbird

Net - Chrome Canary

Torrents - Tixati

Feel free to make sugestions and also list any programs i may be 'missing'

Cheers!

Music - Foobar2000 (Potential FOSS alternatives include Banshee, Audacious, Clementine)

Anti-Virus - ClamWin/Clam Sentinal (FOSS), or Avast Home (Free).

Torrents - QBitTorrent (FOSS)

PDF - Sumatra (FOSS)

Media Player - Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema (bundled w/ K-Lite Codec pack)

Image mounter - WinCDEmu (FOSS)

Needless to say, I'm a huge FOSS advocate, but I can't bring myself to replace Foobar2000. <3 The others, in addition to being FOSS, are just quality software.

As for the net, I don't see any need outside of Firefox (GNU IceCat) or Chrome (Chromium)

Some great suggestions there - and i also like the idea of FOSS.  i grabbed Sumatra and QBittorrent and am going to play around with Foobar - never used it before ;)

It's like Logan read this thread. o_O

Irssi!

Office - If you're looking for freeware- Libre, if not MSO.

Compression - Personally for me WinRAR gets the job done, but you can go w/ 7 zip.

Net - Chrome

Music - Foobar2000

Anti-Virus - Bitdefender or Avast! (Paid license) + Malwarebytes

Torrents - QBitTorrent or uTorrent versions below 3, because it connects to more peers than the newer 1s.

PDF - Sumatra

Media Player - VLC

Image mounter - Daemon Tools, although if it's just for ISOs(idk actually if it supports any other format) you can use the Win 8 built in mounting system.
