Shredology 101: An Exploration in Axe Murdery

I wanted to post something a bit different, so this topic will focus on shred (namely neoclassical shred and jazz/rock/metal fusion). Consider this a grotesque exploration of violence against guitars, basses and keyboards. Anything goes as long as its over-the-top!

Feel free to post any neoclassical shred, fusion metal stuff that you enjoy.

Let's start this topic off on the lighter side with my all-time favorite electric guitarist, Shawn Lane (RIP). The dude was a beast. Sure, his technical skill was beyond belief, but the key to his playing was also the phrasing and total control he had over his voicing/tone. You know you're special when Paul Gilbert calls you, "the most terrifying guy of all time" :D
