i just found these fans. they LOOK awesome the specs don't seem TOO impressive:
-19dB
-1,000 RPM
-33 CFM
-2.63 mm-H2O static pressure
anyone have any of these? was thinking it would look good as the rear exhaust fan in my upcoming NZXT H440 build. wish it was 140mm. looks so cool. assuming this fan has mediocre performance, would it effect my temps that much being used as an exhaust fan, or should i just get an AF 140 if i really want to add some Red accents?
The Sharkoon Shark Blades are useful to accent a theme or color coordinated build.
If they do not have 140mm fans, you may want to consider Aerocool DS Dead Silence Fan. I just read a review on them at: http://www.kitguru.net/components/cooling/zardon/aerocool-ds-dead-silence-fan-120mm-and-140mm-review/
Both of these manufacturers have interesting looking products.
i actually JUST read that review yesterday lol. and i found both those fans for $20 on amazon :)
I am actually considering getting a blow down heatsink so i could mount a DS or Sharkoon fan. wouldn't it look BEAST on my ASUS MAximus VII Hero in a black/red h440 just facing thethe viewer?!
imagine this fan facing the window on a down flow cooler....
definitely. i won't be able to do the build till November most likely. i have allll that time to decide on whether i am going to get a DS or Sharkoon as my exhaust, as i have decided to stick with my original choice of the Dark Knight Night HAwk II (it is only $40).
if only the Noctua NH-C14 wasn't so damn expensive ($80). it has great reviews.... but double the price of the night hawk... and for similar performance? i don't know.....
just imagine 2 DS 140s on that.. staring at you in the window of the H440.....
lol, they would be taken off for sure lol. well, at least the top one. doubt the bottom one could be seen, especially with a big red Aerocool DS 140 on top. then i could give the fans to my cousin and my friend, who both have only exhaust fans in their pre-built rigs.
I was checking a fan sale at Newegg & saw the DS fans listed. Out of curiosity, I checked the purchaser reviews, which were relatively high.
One exception is when the fans were mounted horizontally. Specifically when mounted in the top for exhaust. Owners stated they had a very bad vibration problem in that specific position. I assume any top mounted push or pull configuration or bottom case mount, that puts the fan horizontal, may be a problem.
In vertical positions, reports were consistently great.
Overall, I believe the Aerocool DS were rated higher, by users/owners, than the Sharkoon Shark Blades.
