Searching for Bass Heavy Headphones

Hi everyone,

i am searching for Bass Heavy Headphones, i enjoy Bass Heavy Music like Dubstep, EDM and Psytrance.

I want to spend around 150€ (172$). I will use my Yamha RX-520RDS to Amplify these Headphones.

I tryed Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and they are causing pain on my upper Skull (don,t know how to say that in English) because the pressure is too high. I liked the Sounding, they had a realy strong Bass and i liked the Trebles a lot.

I got a big head so keep that in mind.

So do you got any advice for me.  Please forgive me and my bad English grammar i am from Germany.

Beats.

I thought about just leaving it at that, but then I felt kind of bad. As someone who works in professional audio, the best possible response especially in a live scenario is going to be flat. That means that the sound is going to be as close to recorded without any change.

It's highly regarded that 'bass cannon' headphones like beats, and skullcandy, and whatever else there is, are not ideal for anything except doing what they do best, looking good but sounding terrible.

I'm not sure exactly what other brands may fit the bill as most of the pro brands that I use all aim for a 'flat' response, so like I said, beats is probably the way to go.

I got Beats Pro Studio for Christmas last year and i just hate them.

I thought about Audio Technica ATHM50x what do you think about them.

I tryed Sony http://www.sony.de/electronics/kopfband-kopfhoerer/mdr-1adac

i liked them but they are a litle bit to dark for me , i mean the Sounding of the Bass was just awesome

but i want the trebbles from the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro.

V-Moda Crossfade LP on sale at Amazon. It's been describe as having a subwoofer on top of your head.

If you are in fact, considering this. Do yourself a favor and replace it with thicker pads.

I have moded my Beats pro Studio and have cut open the old ear Pads and put thick Foam into them also i did it with the head band but after 1 hour or so it starts to hurt because the preasure is just to high.

Audio Technica ATH-M50X, again on sale at Amazon. It also produces deep bass, but doesn't neglect mids or highs like the V-Moda's above.

Again, if you are considering this over V-Moda's above, I'd highly recommend repacing the thin pads with something thicker like this one by Brainwavz which will fit snuggly.

My personal fav is the AKG K-240s and using the EQ to increase bass. The thing is, you can almost always add bass, you cant always take it away.

I have the audio technica ATH-PRO700 mk2 and love them - the m50x is supposed to be similar so they should be decent. I would say I hate the pads though the m50 are supposed be allot easier on the ears..

(for $150-180 there amazing if your looking for something cheaper i would look at sennheiser stuff)

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD8 DJs. They are bass heavy but the sound is tight and I feel it is a good balance. They are expensive though but the build quality and sound is great.

How come no one recommended Custom One Pro's?

They have bass vents so you can change the amount of bass you are getting.

Also delievery is free since you are from Germany. They have great service,I bought my Superluxes from them.

if you want bass - track down a set of Denon D2000

JBL J88 http://www.amazon.com/JBL-J88-Over-Ear-Headphones-Rotatable/dp/B009IKCFRE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423141339&sr=8-1&keywords=jbl+j88

im gona do a beats by jerry and move the drivers from my skullcandy headphones into a pair of sports ear muffs.

Just get a pair of good quality, flat response headphones and use an eq.

M50x is definitely bass heavy. I would say to look there.

I really don't understand how people think the M50's are bass heavy.  Haven't tried the M50X, but the non-x version doesn't really tickle my bass fancy that much.

I had a pair of Sony's that were bass CANNONS.  MDR-MA300.  Overall I'd say it's a below-average sound, but my god were they great for doom metal.
