Samsung 870 EVO 4TB - Replace or Keep?

Hello,
I am looking for opinions /experiences on the topic of Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSDs failing over time.
Recently upgraded my personal PC with 2x4TB 870 EVOs (not in Raid) and am now finding out about quite “alot” of people complaining about quickly failing 870s with bad sectors, etc.

Would switching to a higher tier SSD like a Samsung PM893 be an advisable upgrade?

I have also looked at other manufacturers like KIOXIA, but their EXCERIA SATA SSDs only come in capacities up to 960GB.
Note: SATA is a requirement.

Any input is welcome!
Thanks

Failing 870 EVO’s where a specific batch and specific manufacturing period. If you drive manufactured (can see on the box and drive) is in 2021 January-February, be aware. If your drive is manufactured recently, after 2021 March, you should be just fine. Make sure you have updated Samsung Magician software and you will be fine. I have two 870 EVO’s, both manufactured in 2023 and works perfectly fine, now at 98% and 100%.
