I’ve seen How to get Ryzen to boost properly on Linux?, both zenmonitor and zenmonitor3 are abandoned.
What is the current state of:
On kernels 6.1 and above?
My CPU was apparently sitting at 2.8 ghz in Debian, and even with cpufreqd I don’t think it’s scaling the same way as it does in Windows as the fans are not ramping at all.
Zenpower3 and Zenmonitor3 do work with the 5800X. Using them right now on Kubuntu 23.04 with the latest stable mainline kernel 6.3.4. I don’t have a Windows install to test, but it seems to boost properly as far as top speeds are concerned. I remember my old 1700 did not scale to the same minimum speeds as it did under Windows, so it’s probably the same with Zen 3.
I have Debian on a 5800X and all the fans will ramp when the CPU does.
