RX 480 Custom Profile

I recently bought an RX 480 for a build that's mostly used for playing games and watching movies. In the last couple of days, I have noticed the card hitting 75C after watching a movie on Netflix.

After spending sometime with Wattman and GPUZ, I noticed its clocks, core and memory, were all over the place. Which strikes me as odd.

So at the moment, I am using a custom profile that is more conservative with clock speeds.

Is this fairly common thing with the recent amd cards? I planning on installing Linux on the same build and I was wondering if I can do the same.

Shitty reference cooler. It might help if you turn on Compatibility Mode which limits overall voltage to stay at the 150watt target.

You could also install a custom cooler for it. At the beginning of the video he has all kinds of after market coolers to choose from.
