Rust vs 7 Days to Die

Haven't bought either but I've looked at gameplay of both. They're both fairly similar, so to whoever has played it: what are your thoughts and which do you recommend purchasing? Waiting for another Steam sale either way, but still...

I have played rust, so i can vouch for that, its quality entertainment, but it helps to have a few friends to play with so you don't get gang-banged by a bunch of naked cavemen with rocks.

Do keep in mind, its still in beta, and a lot of content is to be added, but so-far gameplay is solid, there are a few hackers and crap running around, but its still fun.

That's cool! Thanks! How is the crafting mechanic in game?

Nether + 7 days to die = rust.

Rust doesnt really have zombies as a main point. Its mostly building to survive other players.

7 days to die is about making the best base possible to defend against zombie hoards.

I haven't played 7 Days to Die, but I have Rust (thanks to a generous reddit user), and I love it.  They actually just updated it yesterday and it no longer has zombies!  The animals are more aggressive and intelligent.  I didn't mind the zombies too much, but I knew they were going to go away at some point.  It is still in alpha, which I think is great because they're constantly changing it, so if you notice something wrong or they should add, it probably will change.

Rust focuses a lot more on crafting than say Dayz, and a good bit on base raiding.  Personally I don't kill anyone unless they shoot at me first.  But it's very difficult to play like that because people run around killing for absolutely no reason.  It helps a LOT to have someone to play with the first few times.  And build a fort.

I enjoy rust but a lot of the players will just kill you so like Someone said play with friend so you have backup. i have no knowledge of 7 days to die so i can't say anything about it.
