Anyone has tried RTX 5090 ?, is they can do NVLink ?
I think its maybe great for DL training to have two with NVLink if any
None of the 5090 or 4090* PCBs I’ve seen had nvlink. I’m pretty sure Nvidia is done with it on consumer GPUs.
* I believe there were some 4090s with traces of removed top connectors pretty late in the design phase, but none with actual working connectors.
Yeah, the 3090s are the last consumer GPUs with nvlink. PCIe 5 does compensate a bit for that, I guess?
but still far than Nvidia’s enterprise SXM solution which even just old SXM2 can do 300GB/s interconnect between multiple GPU
