Rise of the Triad 13 Game Day?

So I noticed the Rise of the Triad remake is one of Tek Syndicate's recommended games on the Steam curation page, but honestly 90% of the time multiplayer is dead.  It's a shame because there's some real quality user created maps on the workshop and the performance problems that plagued the game are pretty much gone with the last patch (at least for me).  I was wondering if maybe next weekend (or whenever works for people) we could have a Rise of the Triad Tek Syndicate game day.  I've been having some RAM issues but I've been able to host a single server instance without issue, so even if no one else can host we can at least get one FFA server going.

I like this idea.

I played a tiny amount of MP during the free weekend when people were still playing and I loved it.

At the moment its just one of them many underplayed games in my library, it is just too unstable still.

In my 6 hours of play I think I've had a couple of crashes while in the menu and I'm alt tabbing or something. There was one crash when I first loading up the first SP mission as well. But other than that, I haven't had any problems with crashes at all.

Have you played it since Patch 1.5 (beginning of october)?  That fixed all my issues.  What problems are you having exactly?

Two of the vanilla MP maps are notorious for causing low framerates, we would not be playing those (at least on any server I host). I have a collection on the workshop of user created MP maps that work without issue.

Think I just brute forced my way out of the problem. Was running a A-10. Soon as I switched to a i5 runs silky smooth 60 FPS non stop. I am not a game dev directly sort of. But I know more than enough in UE 3 to get around. So I got pissed when I looked into it and found they heavy dumped most of the game load on one thread (Core). So I wrote a negative review on steam. Developer got all pissed with me. Said I had no idea what I was talking about. I said if you have AMD just to skip it. They got really upset.

Anyway if you look in task manager even on a haswell it almost bogs down a core.So on AMD with its per core performance it can really struggle. The FX lines L3 seems to help. Anyway they just have a bad coder or lazy one. But ya if you guys are good for this weekend that is something I would really like to play.

Honestly I'm playing on an FX6300 and I get 90fps on medium (UE3 caps MP at 90).

Yes, I'm up for that.
