[resolved] Radeon 780M + RX 7700 eGPU - what to do with the integrated GPU

Hi!

My new mini PC (Ryzen 7 7840HS 8c/16t Zen4 Phoenix) has an integrated Radeon 780M GPU and an OCuLink (Gen4 x4) breakout port. Eventually, i’ll run an external graphics card via OCuLink - probably an RX 7700, because i want at least 10GB of VRAM and there don’t seem to be RX 7600 options.

To state the obvious, both are RDNA3.

:point_right: What can i do with the internal 780M, while i’m gaming on the RX 7700?
:point_right: Can it assist the RX 7700 render more frames - kinda like Crossfire?

EDIT: i think, i’ve missed the mark here! Of course, Crossfire is dead - long live “AMD mGPU” (multi-GPU) and DX12 async compute! However, AFAIK, it’s the app/game that needs to support it, going forward. sigh …there’s always something LOL …oh, right, the source - it’s the Wikipedia article: AMD CrossFire - Wikipedia
