[RESOLVED] Issue with my 2x SFP+ card (OPNsense and Windows)?

So I’m trying to rebuild my network and I’m using a ThinkCentre M90q 3rd Gen with a Super Micro AOC-STGN-i2S (X520-DA2) with 2 SFP+ interfaces, and I’m trying to install opnsense on it - however I am not able to get the SFP+ interfaces to work. I am using two Ubiquiti SFP+ modules (One SFP+ to RJ45 10G and another SFP+ to LC UPC).

While the interfaces are “detected”, the I don’t see any activity from the modules themselves they are connected. As a troubleshooting step I have installed Windows 11 (just in case, ik ik) and installed the correct drivers, but I still see no activity on the SFP+ modules. Am I missing something here? Any suggestions on where to start configuring things?

Edit: Perhaps just to add - I was using the same hardware before I moved, so I have no idea on what to do at this point in time… any nudge in the right direction would be great. I also have noted that I have a status: no carrier with ifconfig in ix0 with my RJ45 SFP+ module.

Nevermind - I discovered that, for some reason, the SPF+ I got will only negotiate 10Gbpe with non Ubiquiti devices. Helps to understand that the available speeds/mediums (i.e. media) to connect can be seen with ifconfig -m ix0  :frowning:
