Reel to reel is the best method of guitar tracking Because I found that in my experience that reel to reel vinyl will give the best range of coverage for the recorded track. And sounds best over a loud speaker when playing over a rhythm section. I know I can use other methods. But I don’t like playing with ear monitors. And I just cannot get into a rhythm section if I do not get the full envelope of the sound.
