Red Hat OpenShift

Hi all,

Given the recent OpenShift video. I’m excited to see what Wendell has in store. I primarily work on Red Hat OpenStack Platform, but have also spent a lot of time supporting OpenShift deployments.

If this is something that interests you, check out the upstream community version that is 100% free with no strings attached:
Google OKD. Apparently I can’t share links here.

It’s exactly the same, minus some of the Marketplace operators that vendors have provided in partnership with Red Hat.

I saw a couple of people mention OpenStack in the comments. I’m happy to talk about Red Hat OpenStack with anyone who is interested as well.

I have an interest in OpenShift and OKD too. In addition, a stripped down version for workstations - CRC (Code Ready Containers) and can be easy to get up and running. The assisted installer version of OCP 4.9.9 is not too hard to setup and run as a single node cluster, and I am lucky enough to have an AMD 2700x with 32GB that can run it.
