Recommendations for a physical mp3 / music player

So I’ve been asked by a buddy of mine for a recommendation for a mp3 player for his daughter. Normally I would have just recommended a smart phone and be done with since the functionally is built into it, but his daughter has downs syndrome so the device has to be extremely simple to use but with a big enough screen for her to see what’s going on. I haven’t seen a pure music player since the 2010’s when the last of the Ipods ran their course.

Anybody got something to recommend? Obviously it doesn’t need to be audio file $500,000.00 but i’m thinking something no more than $100ish.

SanDisk has some on Amazon that looked OK - MP3 Players: Shop Our Clip Jam to Bring Your Songs with You | Western Digital

https://www.reddit.com/r/DigitalAudioPlayer/ while hifi oriented it will probably get you in the right direction of recent models that aren’t garbage.

Something like this might be worth it, https://www.amazon.com/Hi-Res-Lossless-DSD128-Portable-Player/dp/B091C9YFP1 and not totally garbage as far as sound goes.

Thank you all for the recommendations!

The Sansa Clip is a great little player that’s simple to use for under $100, but if you wanted something with a bigger screen and can spend an extra $80 then maybe the Hiby R3 would be a good choice.
