Re: Tesla as gaming GPU: force app to use it instead of iGPU?

so i believe every game i’ve tried so far has worked on the proper GPU.

however, i go to run demoscene demos… and some run on the proper GPU, but not all.

Block One by Fairlight and CNCD (just google it, +maybe the word “pouet”. i’d link it, but i’m afraid to on such a young account) gives the proper options and default

however an earlier demo, Agenda Circling Forth also by Fairlight and CNCD only gives the iGPU as an option. i can’t even keyboard or mouse scroll to change it

i’ve even tried an Nvidia control panel option Power Management Mode: Nvidia driver-controlled as well as Maximum Performance

is there a program that will let you force the Tesla to be used?

Think gameworks. Some demos want one gpu, some want the other.

Didn’t know they were still pumping stuff out tho.

Are these using openGL? Also try unchecking auto detect

the demoscene usually prefers Nvidia, but Fairlight’s demos are usually pretty neutral as they’re trying to sell their engine from what i can tell

Agenda Circling Forth requires DX9.0c, Gf 260/Radeon 4850 or better per their readme (ran better on a GTX285 i tried recently than an R9 290 i tried a while back

not sure if it matters, but Agenda is from 2010 and Block One was 2018.
