RAZOR Blackwidow Ultimate Chroma VS. Corsair Vengeance K70 RGB

Need a new keyboard these are the two I'm looking at. I was able to check out the RAZOR at a Best Buy and I REALLY liked the new RAZOR green switches, even more than the Cherry MX blues.

I'm not a fanboy of either, I currently have a old Dell XPS keyboard that was fine for occasional gaming but I'm gaming a lot more now and would really like to have mechanical keys. Would just like to discuss any Pros/Cons with anyone thats had some experience with either of these keyboards. If these weren't $170 keyboards I wouldn't be so skeptical about this purchase.

I play - Warfram, Firefall, COD, Dota 2, Farcry 3, Trine 2

I left my Xbox 360 and moved back to PC so I have a pile of games to play. I started out playing games on PC back in the early 90's with Lemmings, Doom, Hellbender, Fury 3.

The corsair boards (especially the k70 and k95) have unbelievably amazing build quality, and I'm not sure about the limits of the Blackwidows software but the corsairs' software will have lua coding for the lights. The blackwidow's has templates for different types of games, but you could easily do that and much more with the absurd flexibility of the corsair software. Also media keys. The corsair boards have really nice media keys. Personally I would go with the k70, but they both seem like okay boards.

just got a k95 rgb brown and its extremely buggy (as in it will just stop working) to the point were im wondering if its better to send it back.

since this is so new, maybe it would be best to push the rma time limit to its limits to see if the bugs get fixed? Bugs are expected with anything so new as those keyboards but corsair seems trustworth enough to fix them in due time. I don't know, just seems like it would be a damn shame to have to rma one of those beauties.

seeing as they have botched everything this past month .. i worry ...

My dead LEDs and shitty RMA and support beg to differ.

That said the RGB looks to be better shielded. But I am wary at best.

Other then that I was really happy with my (white LED) K95 when I had it.

Yikes, I haven't heard any issues with the RAZOR Chroma yet. I also was told there is a nice 3rd party software for the Chroma to give more LED control options that doesn't work on the K70 RGB.

Sucks Best Buy didnt' have a K70 RGB on display.

To me the RAZOR greens do feel better than the Cherry Blues. Very similar but the RAZOR greens SEEM to have a better spring return and feel a little batter made. But that is only my opinion.

It'll be about a month before I buy so I'll give the k70 RGB a fighting chance to change my mind before then.
