Hello guys. I have two razer Deathadders, a guild wars edition 1800 dpi one, and the standard 3.5 version. For various reasons (pets) they both need a new cable and since I have some old usb mouses I decided to rip them apart and use those cables for my deathadders. The first problem I encountered is that although the plug in matches as a shape the cables are not ordered in the same color scheme as the deathadders originally had. I managed to reorder the cables for each individual DA since they have different color schemes: the guild wars one has black black green white red and the 3.5 has black black white green red and both of the mice work...at least so I thought. The only issue I have with both of them is when I lift them up the cursor goes nuts, while on surface they act normally and everything works fine. One thing I noticed is that the cables from the generic mice are slightly thicker than the deathadder's cable. I'm pretty sure that the cables are at fault here because if i use my original deathadder cable which has been cut in half and resoldered it works fine even when I lift.
I would put my money on the cables too. I don't know why the other cable would cause that thou.
