I have a EVGA Z77 Stinger motherboard and I am having problems with the ram. I have had a problem getting the ram to run at the rated speed. I have tried 8gb kit of corsair vengence at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 and kingston 16gb 1600mhz 10-10-10-30 both run at 1.5v. My problem is that they will only run on auto settings which puts the ram at 1333 at 9-9-9-24. I have tried higher voltage like 1.55v nothing I have tried higher VCCO (memory controller) at 1.135v and that helped but it still only makes it about 60% though memtest. I don't really know what to change next. More specs on my profile.
Did you enable the XMP profiles?
for what ever reason they did not put xmp on this board. When you set it to auto it is supposed to detect the xmp is what I have read but it doesnt. Otherwise the other option is manual timings and speeds. I am on the lastest BIOS
