Soo the story goes my cousin of mine bought me an early christmas gift without my concent. which im grateful for! So he bought me this Ram cooling G.SKILL FTB-3500C5-D Fans. Here is a link

Anyways I was curious does Ram need cooling? Does it help with temperatures at all? Now my second problem is i noticed this if from G.Skill, and I do not run G Skill ram/memory.. This is my current Ram

now im questioning if this fan is compatable or even fit over the ram do i specifically need g skill memory for me to use it cause i would hate to let my cousins gift go to waste... So if anyone can answer these questions that would be amazing! I hope you all have a great holiday season cheers!

ram fans are 100% just for show, so are the heat spreaders, ram won't ever have a temp issue, however, now that u have one, I would use it, but I have no idea what the compatibilty is.

btw, i got 16g of g.skill 1866 for $50 listed in pc partpicker

hahahahahaha yeah that is my problem i would love to use it but im wondering if it is compatible.... cause i saw some pics on google and they look crazy nice and they match well with my Zalman CNPS 9900 max  blue LED cpu cooler hahaha but yeah..... and Damn thats stupid cheap for 16g....... Well this corsair ram i have was a gift from my buddy so yeah.... But thanks for the insight!
