FRAPS doesn't work.
DXtory doesn't work.

Hmm how is "not working" like the software is physically not working or your hardware is too slow to record?
My hardware is not an issue. It is just the game. I can record more demanding games, like Skyrim, Crysis, and pretty much everything else.
By, "Not working", I mean, everything slows the game down to 1-15 Frames per second, which is unplayable.
make sure you don't have the recording on fraps set to low frames but the problem is probably that your computer can't handle it if the frames goes down when start recording.
No, that isn't the problem. My computer can handle MORE demanding games at HIGHER frames.
Just a question when you are playing while not recording is the fps fine and also if you are using fraps look at your force lawsless rgb capture setting and make shure thats off also check off lock fps while recording

also, gaming hardware=/=recording hardware. you need cpu more when recording
I know, again, my problem is not hardware. It is the game. My CPU is fine. Also, my FPS is 60 when not recording.
What are your Fraps settings?
It's not your hardware, RAGE uses megatexture streaming technology, it basically floods your harddrive with reads while fraps floods your harddrive with writes. Easy fix = buy a cache for recording and a separate harddrive for writes. If you can't do that you could investigate disabling steaming textures.
That is what I thought, and it is pretty retarded. I'm planning on grabbing an SSD soon, so that should fix it.
