Radeon Pro AI R9700 fan noise? Which model to buy?

I didn’t end up buying an R9700 after all. I opted for a 128GB Halo Strix EVO-X3 instead. The fan noise there is noticeable, but certainly not annoying, so nothing needs to be done about it.

I have a power color, i don’t mind the fan noise, it ramps up and down pretty quick when you start/stop. I’ll be watercooling anyway when they finally release the blocks. The coil whine is pretty rough though, my ears are ringing by the end of the day.

Oh nice, I hadn’t checked this week, they didn’t have a launch date last time I checked & had said it wasn’t a high priority.

This is the sound out of mine, can barely hear the fans at 20% over the whine. Its moving into a sound deadened case as soon as new motherboard standoffs arrive.
