I’m trying to update the drivers for my video-card.
I downloaded the latest driver version (23.40.1) from here:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600
As it was a .deb I just double-clicked and used the package manager to install. Rebooted and ran glxinfo -B
and got:
I ran amdgpu-install and returned this:
If someone could help that would be awesome.

My Version is 23.0.4 for the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT on (K)Ubuntu 22.04.
It seems, that AMD is not yet distributing newer drivers (?)
I found this on the internet: amd graphics - How to install amd gpu drivers ubuntu 22.04 LTS - Ask Ubuntu
Note that I use the amdgpu driver from the recommended repo for my distro.

You shouldn’t need to download any drivers from AMD. The ones included in your repo should be fine.
