I think its probably just the right amount of overkill, plus it gives to option to move up to 1440p if you feel like it later. But wait for aftermarket cooling.

crysis is an outlier game though to be honest.
2 to 4 frames slower than a card that cost $100 more. pretty awesome.
There are a couple others such as battlefield 4 and metro. more will come in the next couple years and that is not even getting into attempting to max out 120hz 1080p panels..
For future proofing sure, its not exactly meant for it, but I did it XD
yeah seriously, hope mantle and HSA pan out well.
