My fan had degraded to the point of sounding like a loud coffee grinder and it could not last now that it is once again my main desktop. Intel being Intel could not use any old laptop squirrel cage blower, no it must be a specific one that cause 5 time more than the usual others

Undo the 4 philips screws in the corners:
In like Flynn, just 2 Philips head screws and a piece of tape hold the fan in:

New fan in, it is so quiet, it’s great.
So the process was super easy. 4 screws to get in the bottom of the unit, two screws hold the fan in and just a little tape attaching it to the fins. Undo the screws, unplug the wire, peel off the tape. Then just redo all the in reverse with the new fan.
