Hi all, I’m looking for some hardware suggestions for a Qubes build, I was thinking Ryzen 5.
I have ran it on a Lenovo Thinkpad x250 with 16GB of RAM, was thinking double that and I have a r5 230 which from what I read has no issues with it. Suggestions for motherboards, cpus and ram please.
I am also tempted with sr iov though I’m not sure if Qubes has support for this yet.
There is a whole thread dedicated to various Ryzen mainboards somewhere on this forum. I’d reccomend the ASRock X370 Taichi because of its superior VRM, but the Asus one is also fine. As for your memory, pick one from your boards QVL to be on the safe side. As you probably know, Ryzen runs faster with faster memory, so it might be worth investing in RAM.
